PROFILE
Ms Adele Sodano is a highly competent competition lawyer. She has extensive experience in both Italian and European competition law matters, regularly representing Italian and foreign undertakings before the Italian Competition Authority and the European Commission. Her specialist knowledge and experience in implementing antitrust compliance programmes is just one of the many valuable skills she offers companies in a wide range of markets. She also deals with State aid issues and other areas of EU law, such as matters concerning freedom of movement of goods and services. Her varied professional experience has also allowed her to develop in-depth knowledge of various sectors, including telecommunications, bank and insurance services, energy, luxury goods, air transport and airport services, chemicals, motorway catering services, and organised large-scale retail.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ms Adele Sodano began working at the Brussels office of Pappalardo e Associati law firm in 1997. During more than ten years at the firm (three of which were spent at the Rome office), which included its merger into Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, Ms Sodano provided legal assistance in Italian and European competition law matters to Italian and foreign undertakings and worked on both judicial and non-judicial cases relating to various EU legal issues. Ms Sodano moved to the Brussels office of Italian law firm Chiomenti in 2008, where she remained until the end of 2014.
